Relative normalization

چکیده
Gödel’s second incompleteness theorem forbids to prove, in a given theory U , the consistency of many theories—in particular, of the theory U itself—as well as it forbids to prove the normalization property for these theories, since this property implies their consistency. When we cannot prove in a theory U the consistency of a theory T , we can try to prove a relative consistency theorem, that is, a theorem of the form:

Effect of normalization and phase angle calculations on continuous relative phase.
The purpose of this investigation was to determine if phase plot normalization and phase angle definitions would have an affect on continuous relative phase calculations. A subject ran on a treadmill while sagittal plane kinematic data were collected with a high-speed (180 Hz) camera. Segmental angular displacements and velocities were used to create phase plots, and examine the coordination be...
متن کاملA Relative Dependency Pair Framework
Relative rewriting and the dependency pair framework (DP framework) are two strongly related termination methods. In both formalisms we consider whether the combination of two TRSs allows an infinite derivation: Relative termination of R/S can be defined as strong normalization of →R · →S . Finiteness of a DP problem (P,R) can be defined as strong normalization of →P · →R where → allows steps o...
متن کاملAutomatic Relative Radiometric Normalization for Change Detection of Satellite Imagery
Several relative radiometric normalization (RRN) techniques have been proposed till date most of which involve selection of pseudo invariant features whose reflectance are nearly invariant from image to image and are independent of seasonal cycles. Extraction of such points is quiet tedious and human operator has to provide mutual correspondence by choosing easily recognizable and time invarian...
متن کاملTowards an Intelligent Acoustic Front End for Automatic Speech Recognition: Built-in Speaker Normalization
A proven method for achieving effective automatic speech recognition (ASR) due to speaker differences is to perform acoustic feature speaker normalization. More effective speaker normalization methods are needed which require limited computing resources for real-time performance. The most popular speaker normalization technique is vocal-tract length normalization (VTLN), despite the fact that i...
متن کاملMAP and sub-word level t-norm for text-dependent speaker recognition
This paper presents improvements in text-dependent speaker recognition based on the use of Maximum A Posteriori (MAP) adaptation of Hidden Markov Models and the use of new sub-word level T-Normalization procedures. Results on the YOHO corpus show that the use of MAP adaptation provides a relative improvement of 22.6% in Equal Error Rate (EER) in comparison with Baum-Welch retraining and Maximum...
